Six Lexington County residents – five men and one woman – face drug charges connected with the discovery of meth labs that they helped run.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department announced that six people total have been arrested in relation to meth lab busts over the Labor Day weekend.

Michael Wayne Anderson, Jr., 31, of Flora Drive, Lexington; Charles Daniel Barker, 31, of Shore Road, Fair Play; Paul Scott Kelley, 41, of Griffith Creek Drive, Greer; and Christopher Carl Ruppe, 45, of Racetrack Road, Woodruff, have all been charged with manufacturing methamphetamines. Officers received a report that a motel room at a Motel 6 near Irmo was being used as a meth lab. When officers entered the room, they found evidence of meth production. The four men are currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center, each with $15,000 bail.

Christy Ann Gable, 37, of Longview Street in Lexington and neighbor, Earnest Charles Lake, 52, also of Longview Street, Lexington were arrested on Tuesday at an Executive Inn motel in West Columbia. The Lexington County Multiagency Narcotics Team raided their room and found meth lab equipment. Both Gable and Lake were arrested for manufacturing methamphetamines, and they currently await a bond hearing.

Deputies say they dismantled and safely disposed of the meth lab in West Columbia.
