Pennsylvania McDonald’s Worker Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges for Selling Heroin at Drive-Thru
The District Attorney Narcotics Enforcement Team received information about the drug trafficking that occurred at a McDonald’s in East Liberty.
Shania Dennis reportedly sold bags of heroin to customers in Happy Meal boxes. Customers who were interested in the narcotic could, according to police reports, drive up to the drive-thru and say, “I’d like to order a toy.” They would then drive to the first drive-thru window, where they would pay for a Happy Meal box containing heroin.
Officers from the Narcotics division, along with county officers from surrounding counties, were able to set up a controlled buy on Wednesday, January 29th.
Police say they recovered 10-stamp heroin bags inside their Happy Meal box, then another 50 bags were taken off of Dennis.
Investigators do not know how long the drug trafficking practice has been going on at this McDonald’s. However, earlier in January, another McDonald’s employee in Murrysville, PA was also arrested on drug trafficking charges for selling heroin.
According to detectives, there is no evidence suggesting that the heroin trafficking out of either McDonald’s location was related to the epidemic of heroin overdose deaths that are plaguing Pittsburgh.
