A joint Lexington County task force arrested 6 people on drug charges over the weekend for running a meth lab.

At around 10 PM on Friday, July 26th, deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department searched a home for a suspected meth lab operation. After noticing the strong, classic odor of cooking meth, officers called the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) to the scene.

According to reports, a surveillance camera system was transmitting live video to a television in the living room. Despite the early warning, six people were still arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamines in the home. Marijuana was also found on the premises.

The six meth lab operators are:

  • 41-year-old George Edward Brinson, Redmond Rod, Lexington
  • 52-year-old Terri Lee Egert of Buck Corley Road, Lexington
  • 33-year-old Trudy Rene Escue of Clermont Lakes Drive, Lexington
  • 41-year-old Konni Linn Owens of Mimosa Drive, Gaston
  • 18-year-old Robert Eric Owens of Mimosa Drive, Gaston
