6 Arrested in Meth Lab Bust in Newberry, Two Young Children Found in House

Newberry Officials Arrested 6 for Running Meth Lab, Endangering Two Children

The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office says a search warrant has led to the arrest of six people in a meth lab bust, and two young children have been taken into protective custody.

According to deputies, a series of complaints led to an undercover investigation, and eventually a search warrant for the Newberry home. Once inside, officers say that six people were taken into custody, and charged with manufacturing meth as well as willfully exposing a child to meth. The people arrested were Amber Christine Teseniar, 23, Heather Brooke Anderson, 23, Jeffery Boyd Teseniar, 51, Meghan Lee Teseniar, 19, Nicholas Logan Teseniar, 26, all of 252 Adam Teseniar Road in Newberry, and Kelly Mac Teseniar, 42, of 226 Adam Teseniar Road in Newberry.

Investigators said that not only did they find a functioning meth lab partially inside, and partially outside, of the house, but the house was in deplorable condition.

The two children were 2 years old, and 11 months old. They were transported to a hospital for medical examination due to exposure to the meth lab. They were found to have no injuries, and were released to the custody of the South Carolina Department of Social Services.

A certified cleanup crew was called to the residence to safely dismantle the meth lab.

The six criminals will receive a bond hearing on Saturday, April 27th.
